Meadowbrook Elementary staff, in cooperation with students, families, and community members, will provide a caring and quality learning environment that prepares all students to become knowledgeable, respectful, and responsible citizens in a diverse and rapidly changing world.

 

Welcome to Meadowbrook Elementary School!

Within our district, Meadowbrook is known for being a “diverse neighborhood school with a welcoming atmosphere and high standards for all of its students.” The learning environment at Meadowbrook is a reflection of the way in which staff members, parents, students, and community work together to make our school a great place to be. Encompassing students from Novi, Farmington Hills, and West Bloomfield, our 65-member staff, in partnership with parents and community, dedicates itself to providing a quality educational experience for all of our learners. Our Parent-Teacher Association, under the leadership of President Sarah Piggott, is an active and energetic force that helps to make Meadowbrook an exceptional place to learn.

Meadowbrook Elementary fully implements a solid core curriculum developed by the Walled Lake Consolidated School District.  We continue our work of aligning, learning, and fully implementing the Michigan Common Core Standards.  Performance standards for each grade level have been established in the areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, health, multiculturalism, physical education, art, vocal and instrumental music, and technology education.  Meadowbrook teachers continue to play an instrumental role in the ongoing development of the curriculum across all grade levels.
