      Walnut Creek Middle School and the Greater West Bloomfield Community Coalition request your attendance at a special presentation by Prosecutor Jessica R. Cooper 

      Thursday, February 11th from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM in the Walnut Creek Media Center

      Prosecutor Cooper will address parents regarding the problems associated with cell phone & computer crimes. She focuses on the laws, the social consequences, and the risk of unintended viewers and internet predators. The presentation will include the topic of sexting and our digital footprint. The Prosecutor is committed to assisting the youth and schools with addressing these problems.

      Jessica Cooper spent 28 years as a judge, first at the 46th District Court, followed by the Oakland County Circuit Court, and ending with the Michigan Court of Appeals. In 2007, she left the bench to become both a commercial and labor arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. She was elected the Oakland County Prosecutor in November 2008, and re- elected in November 2012. She is Oakland County’s first female Prosecutor.

      Kirk was a Physical Education Teacher at Walled Lake Central. On October 25, 2008 Kirk’s tree stand collapsed upon stepping on it. He fell 20 feet to the ground and was knocked unconscious. Upon awakening he could not move or feel below his shoulders. Because of this, Kirk waited another 6.5 hours for a search party of police, fire, EMS, family, and friends to find him. The following morning, Kirk underwent surgery to fuse his fourth and fifth cervical vertebrae. His current injury classification is an Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury, C5, ASIA Level B.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is an ensemble cast of 15 students. The students involved in the production include: Mitchell Kenrick, Lindsey Scheidler, Lucas Bouey, Nik Barishaj, Hayley Wagner, Derek Orr, Clare Fitzgerald, Jowan Rashid, Sophia Lada, Ella Kethledge, Michelle Hallogian, Garrett Freed, Brendan Kramer, Eli Sepulveda, and Claire Murphy.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, by Clark Gesner and John Gordon, is the story of the beloved Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang. Though considered a "good man" by his friends, Charlie Brown can't seem to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl, or his friend Lucy, nor her crush, the piano-playing Schroeder. Meanwhile Snoopy and Linus daydream and the rest of the friends battle with kites, school, baseball and misunderstandings before finally coming to realize what makes them truly happy.
