James R. Geisler Middle School-FALL Sports Information 2018
Football Practice will begin on Monday August, 20th from 5:00-7:30 pm. Practice will run from 3-5:30 once school begins.
School starts on Tuesday, August 28th.
Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, and Cross Country will all begin practice/tryouts on Wednesday, August 29th. This is the second day of school.

All Student/Athletes must have a current physical (valid for 17-18 school year) on file in the GMS office to participate in tryouts/practice. $200.00 Participation Fees are to be paid in full prior to the first game or contest.

Current-Year Physical Requirement
Students must have a current physical on file before they will be allowed to participate in a sport, including tryouts. A current physical must be dated after April 15 of the previous school year. Please download the 2017-18 MHSAA Physical Form.
Pay to Participate
Student-Athlete Eligibility Requirements
Student-Athletes must have a 2.0 grade point average with no more than two failing grades (E).
Student-Athletes must have a minimum of a 2.5 average in Citizenship and be in good standing with building administration.
Eligibility grades are submitted each Thursday by Teachers; those grades will determine a Student-Athletes' eligibility for the following week.
Admission Prices and Passes
Middle school sporting event admission fees are $3 for adults; $1 for students (Senior citizens, kindergarten students and younger are free).
