GSRP and Head Start

Enrollment is based on income, family need, and availability for both grant programs.

If you are interest in the Head Start or GSRP, complete the form and when we begin the process you will receive an email.  

Head Start:

The Head Start Program is funded by the federal government.  Enrollment is based on income, family need, and availability.  

• Child must be 3 or 4 years old by  September 1. 
• Eligibility is based on household size and income.
• Check to see if you are income eligible.   
• Enrollment is prioritized based on income eligibility and other qualifying factors; families with special needs or foster children are encouraged to apply.

Families must meet federal income guidelines (100% federal poverty level.)  Children may be enrolled whose families are over income when there are additional risk factors. Ten percent of our slots for children are reserved for children with diagnosed disabilities.  Classes are Monday through Thursday. 

Head Start classes have 16 children, one certified Early Childhood Teacher, and an Assistant Teacher. Your help is appreciated and requested in the classroom. Please, come play with us. All that you need to bring is your smile. If you would feel more comfortable helping in another way, let us know. There are many opportunities to share your talents and skills.

Great Start Readiness Program:

The Great Start Readiness Program is funded by the State of Michigan. 

• Child must be 4 years old by December 1.
• Programs enroll children born by 9/1 first, then if there are spots, they will enroll children born by 12/1.
• Eligibility is based on household size and income.
