WLW's Kory Cioroch named MHSFCA Coach of the Year

Walled Lake Western’s Kory Cioroch was voted Coach of the Year for Division 3, Region 4 by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.

In his second season as the Warriors head coach, Cioroch guided Western to its third Lake Valley Conference championship in four seasons. The Warriors went unbeaten in LVC play and finished the year 9-2 overall. Western made its 13th-straight playoff appearance in 2022 before falling to Brother Rice in the District Finals.

“I’m very honored to be recognized as Regional Coach of the Year,” said Cioroch. “It’s a testament to an amazing group of players and assistant coaches that worked so hard this year.”

Cioroch was also named Coach of the Year in the Lake Valley Conference.
