Kindergarten Assessments
Dear 2021-2022 Incoming Kindergarten Families,
We would like to offer an optional assessment for all incoming Kindergarten students in order to allow our team to get to know your child better. The individual assessment will be given by one of the four Kindergarten teachers at Keith, and will last approximately 15 minutes. During that time we will assess your child’s letter identification, word recognition, book knowledge, and number sense.
Please sign up for one slot on either Thursday, June 24, or Wednesday, June 30 using the Keith Kindergarten Academic Screener Sign Up Genius.
When you arrive at your scheduled appointment time, please pull up to the door on the north side of the building labeled Door 5. Walk your child to the door to meet the teacher and then wait in your car. We will be just inside the building and your child will be able to wave to you if necessary to feel more comfortable. When the assessment concludes, the teacher will walk your child to your car.
Masks will be required inside the building. If you are unable to join us on these dates, we may be able to offer an additional abbreviated day in early August.
