Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery
Students who fail classes required for graduation must earn those credits through credit recovery programs. LINK to GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
These classes must be taken via:
- Summer School,
- Correspondence Courses,
- or online courses at Walled Lake Central:
* Please note, courses taken via our online Edgenuity program are not NCAA approved.
It is critical that students who have failed any classes speak with their counselor to determine which credit recovery program will work for their plan. Please do not sign up for any classes before speaking with a counselor.
STUDENTS MUST have counselor approval prior to enrolling in any credit recovery/credit advancement program. WL Central can refuse to accept transfer credits from a program that a counselor did not approve.
Summer School Credit Recovery Options
Many students take a course in the summer in order to advance to the next course level, earn deficient credit, or to make room for other electives in their schedule during the school year.
All students considering summer school, or another alternative to earn credit, should make an appointment to discuss their plans with their counselor.
**Note: all courses taken beyond the school day will be the student's expense.
