There is no charge for taking the ASVAB. Each year many students take the test to help them planning and preparing for future options. Additionally, many students score better when they test in their own school while still in high school.

Why should you take the ASVAB?

1.      Help with choosing a Career or College Major.

Not sure what you want to do after high school? Taking the ASVAB gives you access to the online results including an excellent Interest Inventory which can help guide you to the best possible career path and college major.  This is an excellent way for students to look at career opportunities and how they relate to college.

2.      Military Options

Taking the ASVAB is a required for entrance into any of the Military options available for students.  Test scores are used to determine your military careers, so the higher your scores the more options that will be available in the military. Taking the ASVAB does not register you with any branch of the armed forces.
