All Student/Athletes must have a current physical (valid for 22-23 school year) on file in the GMS office to participate in tryouts/practice.  $200.00 Participation Fees are to be paid in full prior to the first game or contest.

General Information

Current-Year Physical Requirement

Students must have a physical on file before they will be allowed to participate in a sport, including tryouts. For the 2022-2023 school year, a physical must be dated after April 15 of 2022. 

Pay to Participate

Please refer to the district Pay to Participate for information.

Student-Athlete Eligibility Requirements

Academics

Student-Athletes must have a 2.0 grade point average with no more than two failing grades (E). 

Citizenship

Student-Athletes must have a minimum of a 2.5 average in Citizenship and be in good standing with building administration. 

Eligibility Submission

Eligibility grades are submitted each Thursday by Teachers; those grades will determine a Student-Athletes' eligibility for the following week.

Transportation

The transportation policy for middle schools in Walled Lake are as follows:

  • In-District Transportation provided with no return bus.
  • Out-of-District Transportation provided with no return bus.
