Smart Has Heart 


Caring For Others student video

Smart has a student group, new this fall, called the "SMART HAS HEART" Caring Club. Their goal is to spread kindness and caring through the school.

Students must have a permission slip on file to attend the sessions. Although it is not required to attend all sessions, we strongly encourage the idea of attending all meetings for each session.

Our teacher sponsors/ organizers are Mrs. Bentley, Mrs. Gross, Mrs. LaPlante, Mrs. Quinn-Haver and Mrs. Tatum. Please have your child contact them for a permission slip and more information.

C.H.S. School Musical

Our director is Mrs. Connell, our Communication Arts teacher. Students must sign up in room 312 and get all the information regarding tryout workshops and the actual try out schedule. Visit Mrs. Connell's website for more information.

Student Government at Smart Middle School

Smart Middle School Athletics

We have an very comprehensive athletics program available for all 7th and 8th grade students. Please visit the Athletics page for all of the information regarding teams, coach contacts, eligibility and the Smart Athletics Philosophy. 

Smart Scholars' Club

This is an after school club that meets every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:15. Please visit the the Smart Scholars' web page for all the information and to download the required permission slip

Smart Student Newspaper

This student written newspaper is an 8th grade lunch group run by Ms. Stahl from our English department. Please contact Ms. Stahl for more information

Ski Club Order Form

During the winter months, our club/group discount night will be Tuesdays at Alpine Valley - Please visit the Ski Club Facebook page for official club dates. Just like in the past, students/families that wish to participate each week, must turn in their Club Form and money to the School office by 10 a.m. Tuesday.  Forms will be picked up at 10 a.m. from the school office. Check in with at Alpine Valley at 4:30 p.m. Please see the file below for more information.
